The teachings of the Karma Kagyu lineage of the Tibetan Buddhism have been transmitted for thousands of years from teacher to disciple.
In order to ensure the precious transmission of the teachings also in the West, the following two aspects are very important to us:
- To convey Buddhism in our Center in an authentic way through close cooperation with qualified teachers, and
- To facilitate access to Buddhist practice in a way which suits our times.
Our organisation is managed in such a way as to be independent and we are financed mainly by donations, membership fees as well as grants. None of our team members receive any remuneration for their work in the Center.
The Karma Kagyu Sangha is an institution of the Austrian Buddhist Religious Assocation, which was recognised by law in 1983.
